| Extra-Inning Win by Gnats over Mustangs | The Nichols Gnats wiggled past the San Angelo Mustangs, 4-3, at Heartland Kettlecorn Stadium. Nichols pitcher Franklin Salinas earned player of the game honors. The Gnats bumped their record to 50-42 with this latest triumph.
The Gnats got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Carlos Ferrer. For the game, Ferrer was 1-1 with a home run. In the top of the 11th, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Nichols a 4-3 lead.
"Good win for us, tough loss for them," said Salinas.
