| Pelicans Top Dancin' Outlaws to Even Record | The St. Petersburg Pelicans defeated the West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws, 6-2, in RCLA action at Penlee Park, with St. Petersburg pitcher Yukio Inouye named player of the game. St. Petersburg is now 46-46, while West Virginia is 45-48.
The Pelicans got a big at-bat from right fielder Miguel Munguia. For the game, Munguia was 2 for 4 with 2 singles. In the top of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 78th hit of the season gave St. Petersburg a 1-0 lead.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Inouye said after the game.
