In 8 innings, Solorio surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs. Gabe George notched his 16th save in 16 chances.
With two out in the bottom of the seventh, Alberto Jorge stroked a go-ahead run-scoring single. It was his 56th hit of the season and put Nichols in front, 3-2.
