The 2038 season is getting ugly for Williamsport.

The Warriors grabbed a win, 3-2, at Crosscutters Park, overcoming a fine effort from Williamsport pitcher Shawn Thompson. Thompson went 6 innings and allowed no earned runs. Jose Eliserio converted his 5th save in 7 tries.

Had Paul Moody not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Moody hit a 2-run single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Warriors.

"We squandered some opportunities," said Williamsport manager Michael Ashe.

The Warriors, at 36-49, sit in 5th place in the TMLA Earl Weaver Division.
