The winning pitcher was Valenzuela, now 11-13. He tossed 8 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 5 and fanning 6. Even with the win, the Crosscutters have a dismal 30-56 record.
Williamsport took a 4-2 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. With no one out, designated hitter David Wilson hit a 2-run home run that set the crowd abuzz.
