| Road Warriors Lose, 4-2, at Philip Banks Field | The exploits of designated hitter Harukazu Ogawa helped the Bel Air Princes defeat the Westside Road Warriors, 4-2. Ogawa went 3-4 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Bel Air reliever Roberto Cruz picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Hidenori Tomita took the loss. Josh Belcher was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 5 of 6 save opportunities.
The Princes got a big at-bat from first baseman Jeff Beach. For the game, Beach went 2-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 28th hit of the season gave Bel Air a 4-2 lead.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Ogawa told reporters after the game.
Bel Air goes to 61-26. The win puts them 13 games up in their division.
