Gnats Clip Vikings in Tight Contest

The Nichols Gnats defeated the Victoria Vikings, 3-2, in TMLA action at The Pond, with Nichols pitcher Franklin Salinas named player of the game. Nichols reliever Gabe George was the winner. His record is now 3-2. Nick Germinaro took the loss. Nichols is now 45-39, while Victoria is 54-33.

Josue Escamilla was the walk-off hero for Nichols. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Gnats pinch hitter hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.

"If you ever get this game figured out," said Victoria manager Bernardo Moreno, "let me know."
