| Tight Tilt Goes to Emeralds, 4-3 | Eugene played host to Westside at the friendly confines of Prefontaine Park.
The Emeralds had to overcome a good performance from Westside pitcher Jon Duren to claim a 4-3 win at Prefontaine Park. Duren went 5 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Stewart Lewis got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed no runs on 3 hits in 2.2 innings.
Jack Lawlor, who is rated as the 74th best prospect by BNN, helped out the Eugene cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the first baseman was 2 for 3 with 2 singles.
