| Dancin' Outlaws Bang Out 9-3 Win Versus Cambridge | West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws starter Jose Gonzles was in fine form against the Cambridge Orphans at Abbey Stadium, leading his team to a 9-3 win. Gonzles went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 2, and struck out 14. His record improves to 1-1. The Dancin' Outlaws bumped their record to 43-42 with this latest triumph.
It could have been a different outcome for West Virginia, had it not been for Alexis Diaz, the 25-year old left fielder . Diaz contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put West Virginia up, 4-2.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Diaz told the West Virginia News. "It's as simple as that."
