| New Orleans Wins, Deigado gets 5 RBI | The New Orleans Jedi Knights stopped the Brisbane Bush Wackers, 9-2, behind an impressive performance from Alex Deigado. The 21-year old second baseman made life miserable for Brisbane pitching. He was 2 for 3 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 5. Jeff Beem, credited with the save, is now 1 for 1 in save opportunities. The Jedi Knights bumped their record to 46-36 with this latest triumph.
Deigado contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for New Orleans in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 2-1, Deigado took a cutter from Ricky Enamorado and stroked the home run to left. His 3rd home run of the season allowed the Jedi Knights to leap in front, 5-2.
"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Deigado.
