| Hornets Turn Back Winfield, 7-6 | The Bethesda Hornets topped the Winfield Warriors by the score of 7-6, with the largest share of the credit going to left fielder Guillermo Mayen. Mayen went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Hornets. The winner was Orlando Reyes in relief. His record improves to 1-2. Marco Reyes took the loss. Bethesda, now 36-41, holds 5th place in the Donnie Moore League Tommy Lasorda Division.
With Bethesda leading 3-0 in the bottom of the second, Mayen hit a fastball from Jordan Gonzalez for a grand slam home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Hornets ahead, 7-0.
