Emeralds Shut Out Jedi Knights

The New Orleans Jedi Knights got a sterling performance from pitcher Chad McClure, but the Emeralds still prevailed, 2-0. McClure was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He threw 5 innings allowing 2 runs. Jesse Lay converted his 8th save in 13 tries. Eugene is now riding a 3-game win streak.

Jim Overby put Eugene in front, 2-0, when he took Chad McClure downtown. His solo home run came with two out in the bottom of the third. It was his 6th home run of the season.
