| Hornets Edge Warriors, 7-6 | The Bethesda Hornets beat the Winfield Warriors, 7-6 at Hornets Field, in part due to first baseman Armando Garcia, who nabbed player of the game honors. He was 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 times. The winner was Bethesda reliever Frank Teran, now 3-1. The loser was Jose Eliserio. The Hornets improved to 35-41.
The Hornets were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when third baseman Xavier Castellanos turned a 0-2 sinker from Jose Eliserio into a 2-run triple. The walk-off triple sent a roar through the crowd and gave Bethesda a thrilling 7-6 win.
"This joint was rocking," said Castellanos.
