| Sting Get Win, Extend Streak to 5 | The 2038 season is getting ugly for Williamsport.
The Houston Sting bested the Williamsport Crosscutters, 3-0, at Woodland Park. Juan Lira was named player of the game. He went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. David Hernandez notched his 1st save in 1 chances.
With Houston leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fifth, Lira hit a cutter from Adrian Escobar for a 2-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Sting ahead, 3-0.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Lira told reporters after the game.
The third-place Sting have won 5 straight games.
