| Gnats Turn Back Coney Island, 3-2 | Nichols pitcher Mario Solorio did his part in helping his team beat the Coney Island Cyclones, 3-2. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Jeff Bushman converted his 1st save in 1 tries. Coney Island's current losing streak is now 7 games.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 2nd and 3rd and two out in the top of the seventh inning. That's when first baseman Bryan McGregor, who is tied for 9th in the LBL with a .295 batting average, drew a walk. The Gnats went on to win.
"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Jesús Cruz.
