| Maldonado Delivers Walk-Off Win for Pelicans | The Pelicans had to overcome a fine performance from Tree City pitcher Mike Hollis to grab a 5-4 win at Billy Mathews Field. Hollis allowed no earned runs over 6.1 innings. St. Petersburg is 4th in the Donnie Moore League Dusty Baker Division with a record of 36-38.
St. Petersburg won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With one out and Jaime Tait on the mound for Tree City, shortstop Ivan Maldonado hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Pelicans fans to their feet.
"The game is never over 'til it's over," said a jubilant Dennis Inman, the St. Petersburg skipper.
