| McCarthy Now 4-6 After Subduing Jedi Knights | Okanagan pitcher Sean McCarthy did his part in helping his team beat the New Orleans Jedi Knights, 5-0. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The Lake Monsters raised their record to 39-31.
McCarthy, who dominated for Okanagan, earned the victory to move to 4-6. He was in control the whole game, scattering 1 hit over 7 innings, while striking out 8. New Orleans batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
"There's a lot of passion in our clubhouse," said McCarthy. "When we put it together we're a great ball club."
