| Mustangs Come Back Late to Clip Saints | San Angelo overcame a superlative game from Danny Garcia to beat St. Paul, 5-2. The St. Paul pitcher took player of the game honors in a losing cause. He threw 7 innings of 2-hit ball. The Mustangs are now 32-38, while the Saints fall to 19-51.
Had Bill Leal not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Leal hit a bases-clearing double. That made the score 4-2, in favor of the Mustangs.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Leal said after the game.
