| Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Crosscutters | The Crosscutters grabbed a win, 4-3, at Crosscutters Park, overcoming a fine effort from Coney Island pitcher Walton Varner. Varner went 5.2 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Even with the win, the Crosscutters have a dismal 23-47 record.
Bryant Miller was the walk-off hero for Williamsport. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Crosscutters right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"This place went bonkers at the end," Miller said.
