| Dancin' Outlaws Lose, 4-1, at Hornets Field | The Bethesda Hornets beat the West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws, 4-1, at Hornets Field. The Hornets got a fine performance from first baseman Armando Garcia, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Jose Galaviz got the win, improving to 4-4. He held the Dancin' Outlaws to no earned runs on 4 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 3. Tadakatsu Murayama was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 9 of 10 save opportunities.
Garcia had a key at-bat for Bethesda early in the game. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 11th home run of the season and gave Bethesda an early 3-0 lead.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Garcia.
The 4th-place Hornets improved to 31-37.
