| Vikings Walk It Off for 42nd Win of Season | The Vikings grabbed a win, 2-1, at The drakkar, overcoming a fine effort from Coney Island pitcher Andrew Turner. Turner went 6.2 innings and allowed no earned runs. Victoria reliever Luis Madrid picked up the win, upping his record to 6-1. Jason Ruby was saddled with the loss. Victoria goes to 42-28. The win puts them 3½ games up in their division.
The Vikings were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when center fielder David Hurtado turned a 3-1 cutter from Jason Ruby into a 2-run home run. The walk-off home run sent a roar through the crowd and gave Victoria a thrilling 2-1 win.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Hurtado.
