| Multi-HR Day for Ramirez as Black Squirrels Overpower Orphans, 6-4 | Black Squirrels second baseman Luis Ramirez put his stamp on his team's 6-4 win over the Cambridge Orphans. Ramirez was 3-3 with 2 home runs and a walk for Tree City in the contest. Tree City reliever Bruce Cunningham picked up the win, bumping his record to 7-1. Alex Vazquez was collared with the loss. The Black Squirrels bumped their record to 36-34 with this latest triumph.
Rico Perez aided the Tree City cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the catcher went 1 for 3 with a walk.
"We'll savor this win," Perez told the Tree City Observer, "then get ready for the next game."
