| Knights Bang Out 7-4 Win Versus New Orleans | The Kingwood Knights beat the New Orleans Jedi Knights, 7-4, at Stable Park. The Knights got a fine performance from third baseman Jack Crosby, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times. Kingwood reliever Alton Lesage picked up the win, upping his record to 4-0. Jeff Beem absorbed the loss. Zak Osborn converted his 16th save in 19 tries.
The Knights got a big at-bat from catcher Eric Head. For the game, Head went 3-5 with 3 singles. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 32nd hit of the season gave Kingwood a 5-4 lead.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Kingwood manager Chris Schell.
The Knights have an impressive 46-21 record.
