| Orphans Bridle Black Squirrels, 4-2 | The Nut House was the site of a competitive game between the Tree City Black Squirrels and Cambridge Orphans.
Tree City pitcher Javy Cabrera gave the Orphans all they could handle, but in the end, Cambridge left The Nut House with a 4-2 win. Cabrera allowed 4 earned runs on 3 hits over 5 innings. Josh Brolin converted his 3rd save in 4 tries.
The Orphans got a big at-bat from second baseman Diego Suarez. For the game, Suarez went 2 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the fourth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 4th hit of the season gave Cambridge a 2-0 lead.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Cambridge manager Fernando Padilla. "It's usually not just one thing."
Even with the win, the Orphans have a dismal 21-44 record.
