| Panthers Prevail, 3-2, Over Williamsport | The Charleston Panthers got a strong performance from pitcher Keinosuke Misawa, who stymied the Williamsport offense en route to a 3-2 win at Franklin Mountains Field. Takuzo Okuyama got credit for the win, improving to 5-1. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. Zach Hensler converted his 11th save in 12 tries.
The Panthers got a big at-bat from right fielder Mitchell Gilbert. For the game, Gilbert went 2 for 4 with 2 singles. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 36th hit of the season gave Charleston a 3-2 lead.
"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Misawa.
Charleston now has a 3-game win streak.
