| Sting Bang Out 6-4 Win Versus St. Petersburg | Houston left fielder Lupe Vazquez made his presence felt in the 6-4 Sting triumph over the St. Petersburg Pelicans. Vazquez was 2-4 with a double and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Jordan Little got credit for the win, improving to 3-4. He allowed 2 runs on 4 hits in 2.2 innings. Jorge Jaranillo converted his 1st save in 1 tries.
Melvin Bibiano aided the Houston cause with a 2-run double in the top of the seventh. For the game, the designated hitter went 1-5 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"We take it day by day here," said Vazquez, "and today was a good one for us."
The Sting bumped their record to 33-33 with this latest triumph.
