The Nichols Gnats got a superb performance from pitcher Franklin Salinas. Still, it wasn't enough to beat New Orleans. The Jedi Knights won the game, 4-2. In spite of the loss, Salinas was named the player of the game. He threw 7 innings allowing 4 runs. Matthew Varga converted his 14th save in 15 tries. New Orleans has now won 3 straight, while the Gnats have lost 3 in a row.
