The right-hander had complete command of his fastball in leading the Vikings to a 2-0 win. Luis Madrid was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 3 of 5 save opportunities. Victoria goes to 40-27. The win puts them 3 games up in their division.
Cordoba, who dominated for Victoria, earned the victory to move to 7-3. He was in control the whole game, scattering 2 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 6. Williamsport batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
