| Orphans Get Road Win, 5-3 | The Royal Colosseum was the site of a competitive game between the Atlantic City Kings and Cambridge Orphans.
The Cambridge Orphans knocked off the Atlantic City Kings, 5-3, at The Royal Colosseum. Rich Velasquez, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Cambridge won. The second baseman was 2-4 with a double and a walk. He scored 3 times. Luis Zarate picked up the win, improving his season record to 3-7. He struck out 4 in 5.2 innings. Rafael Padilla was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 2 of 2 save opportunities.
Steve Bathurst aided the Cambridge cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the fourth. For the game, the catcher went 1 for 2 with 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI.
