| Panthers Pull Off Thrilling Win in Extras | Charleston Panthers starter Jose Ortiz pitched a strong game against the St. Paul Saints at Saints Ballpark, leading the Panthers to a 4-2 win. Charleston is now 29-36, while St. Paul is 18-48.
The Panthers got a big at-bat from shortstop Yuichiro Suzuki. For the game, Suzuki went 2 for 7 with 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs. In the top of the 15th, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 61st hit of the season gave Charleston a 4-2 lead.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Ortiz told reporters after the game.
