Lake Monsters Take Nail-Biter Over Saints
The Okanagan Lake Monsters scored a 2-1 win versus the St. Paul Saints at Elks Stadium. Okanagan pitcher Alexis Machado nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Okanagan reliever Keon Ford was credited with the win, to go to 5-1. Jack Nodell took the loss for St. Paul. Okanagan has now won 5 games in a row.

The Lake Monsters got a big at-bat from third baseman Kojiro Ogawa. For the game, Ogawa was 2 for 4 with 2 singles. In the bottom of the tenth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 65th hit of the season gave Okanagan a 2-1 lead.

"What a great win for our team," said a jubilant Stu Yarbrough, the Okanagan manager.
