Jedi Knights Come Back Late to Top Crosscutters

New Orleans Jedi Knights starter Hidetada Abe pitched a strong game against the Williamsport Crosscutters at The Republic, leading the Jedi Knights to a 4-2 win. New Orleans reliever Sean Cassetty picked up the win to move to 3-1. Steve Osborne suffered the loss. Matthew Varga converted his 12th save in 13 tries.

Had Wil Ramos not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 1st, Ramos hit a run-scoring double. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Jedi Knights.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Ramos. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."

The Jedi Knights bumped their record to 34-28 with this latest triumph.
