The Eureka Hornets defeated the Kansas City Tornadoes, 10-4, at Debris Field. Carlos Minchala was named player of the game for Eureka. His 3 hits included 2 singles and 1 double, in addition to the 1 run he scored and 3 he knocked in. The Hornets bumped their record to 33-22 with this latest triumph.

Eureka used the timely hitting of Jesus Rivera to capture the win. The shortstop stroked a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Hornets on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.

"We did more than enough to get the win," said Rivera.
