Big Day by Walter Ignites Jedi Knights Win

The New Orleans Jedi Knights beat the San Angelo Mustangs, 8-1, at Heartland Kettlecorn Stadium. Tyler Walter was recognized as player of the game for his performance. He was 4-4 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. The 22-year old catcher was a menace to San Angelo all day. Kevin Maxwell got the win, improving to 7-2. He held the Mustangs to no earned runs on 2 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 8 and walking 6. Adrian Bogle finished to wrap up his 5th save.

Vince Jarvis swatted a 2-run home run for New Orleans in the top of the third. The right fielder went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and batted in 2.

"I thought we played a nice game," Jarvis told the New Orleans Citizen. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."

The Jedi Knights bumped their record to 33-26 with this latest triumph.
