| Victory Pushes Cyclones Record to 29-28 | The Cyclones grabbed a win, 4-3, at Elks Stadium, overcoming a fine effort from Okanagan pitcher Sean McCarthy. McCarthy went 6 innings and allowed no earned runs. The winner was Coney Island reliever Bob Downard, now 2-1. The loser was Jesús Velásquez. The save was Jason Ruby's, his 2nd.
The Cyclones got a big at-bat from first baseman Sean Brown. For the game, Brown went 1 for 5 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the ninth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Coney Island a 4-3 lead.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Brown said.
The Cyclones bumped their record to 29-28 with this latest triumph.
