| Saints Fall Short at Chippewa | It was a fun time at The Reservation, where the St. Paul Saints and Chippewa River Chiefs tangled.
The St. Paul Saints got a sterling performance from pitcher Mario Montoya, but the River Chiefs still prevailed, 5-4. Montoya was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He threw 7 innings of 6-hit ball. The win was credited to Chris Terry in relief. His record improves to 1-2. Jack Nodell took the loss.
Eddie Linares had the critical at-bat for Chippewa. With two out in the bottom of the ninth inning, he hit a walk-off run-scoring single. It gave Chippewa the 5-4 walk-off win.
