| Lennie Rips San Diego for 5 Hits | It was a good day at Metroplex Park. The Dallas Texans whipped the San Diego Hops 15-3 and left fielder Chandler Lennie showed off a hot bat, going 5-for-5 at the plate.
"Some days, lady luck is on your side," Lennie told BNN reporters after the game.
Texans manager Héctor Flores told the beat writers otherwise, calling the 27-year-old "focused and patient."
"It's not luck," he said. "He has a solid approach to hitting. Chandler hits to all fields. The more solid at-bats you put together, the more success you're going to have."
Chandler Lennie singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Antonio Rios in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and walked in the 8th.
Lennie is hitting .374 this year with 6 home runs and 36 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .406, 8 walks and scored 43 times. |
