The Williamsport Crosscutters downed the Nichols Gnats, 7-0, at The Pond. John Kershner led the way, going 2-for-4 for Williamsport. Even with the win, the Crosscutters have a dismal 18-38 record.
Bryant Miller was a key contributor to the win for the Crosscutters. In the top of the first with two out, the light-hitting right fielder stroked a single to left-center. He went 1 for 4, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2.
"I know we have our doubters," said Nichols manager Norm Cobb. "But I still have high hopes for this team."
