| Panthers Prove Rude Guests, Win 11-3 at Kingwood | The Charleston Panthers knocked off the Kingwood Knights, 11-3, at Stable Park. Leo Santana, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Charleston won. The catcher went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Charleston reliever Bennett Gallimore picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Mao-you Mi shouldered the loss. The win boosts the Panthers to 23-29. The loss puts the Knights at 35-18.
Santana had a big at-bat with a runner on 2nd in the top of the sixth inning, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Panthers went on to win.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Santana told the Charleston Chronicle.
