| Kings Fall Short, 4-3, at Brisbane | Brisbane starter Chris Peake pitched effectively against the Atlantic City Kings at Baylor Ballpark. The left-hander led his team to a 4-3 win. Peake got the win, improving to 6-3. He allowed 6 hits and walked 1 over 7 innings. Peake allowed 3 earned runs. Jose Laracuente finished the game for Brisbane and earned his 11th save.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the sixth, with Brisbane trailing 3-2, Jimmy Butler was at the plate when Brisbane scored 2 on an error. The miscue enabled the Bush Wackers to go in front, 4-3.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Peake told the Brisbane Gazette.
The Bush Wackers bumped their record to 26-25 with this latest triumph.
