| McMahill K's 10 En Route to 3-1 Gnats Win | The Nichols Gnats picked up a win at The Barn, knocking off the Winfield Warriors, 3-1. Starting pitcher Seth McMahill, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Nichols is in third place in the Lyman Bostock League Earl Weaver Division with a record of 26-23.
McMahill was in the zone all game. He frustrated Winfield hitters while giving the Gnats 8 innings of quality work. McMahill threw 133 pitches, allowing 3 hits and getting 10 punchouts.
"Seth was throwing strikes, locating well," said Nichols manager Norm Cobb.
