| Orphans Solve Crosscutters, 5-2 | Though he had a great game, David Wilson could not single-handedly produce a win for Williamsport. Cambridge won the game, 5-2. Wilson was named the player of the game. He went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Josh Brolin earned the save, his 1st. Even with the win, the Orphans have a dismal 16-35 record.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the bottom of the seventh inning. That's when right fielder Danny Castillo hit a single. The Orphans went on to win.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Castillo told a Cambridge News reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
