| Gnats Lose to Dancin' Outlaws in Walk Off | Starting pitcher Javier Barela pitched well enough to help the West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws beat the Nichols Gnats by the score of 4-3. West Virginia reliever Jose Aguilera got the win, raising his record to 2-3. Scott Ralston was tagged with the loss. The Dancin' Outlaws bumped their record to 28-25 with this latest triumph.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when West Virginia left fielder Alexis Diaz, facing Scott Ralston, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Dancin' Outlaws the 4-3 win.
"I had a good game plan," said Barela. "I made my pitches." His manager concurred. "It was all there," Michel Hérault said, "the velocity, the sharpness of his pitches."
