| Vikings Lose, 9-4, at Hornets Field | The Bethesda Hornets powered past the Victoria Vikings, 9-4, at Hornets Field. Xavier Castellanos went 4 for 4 with a double and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs, to lead the charge. Bethesda reliever Jesus Siguenza picked up the win, upping his record to 1-4. Orlando Cordoba shouldered the loss. Picking up the save was Tadakatsu Murayama, his 5th.
In the bottom of the 6th, third baseman Nick Giesler gave Bethesda the lead when he hit a 2-run home run. The Hornets had been trailing 4-3, but the two-out home run off Victoria pitcher Orlando Cordoba changed that -- and Bethesda went on to win.
"Enjoyed this one," Castellanos told the Bethesda Observer. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
At 23-29, the Hornets are currently 5th in the Donnie Moore League Tommy Lasorda Division.
