| Dominant Performance by Valenzuela in Williamsport Win | The 2038 season is getting ugly for Cambridge.
The Williamsport Crosscutters topped the Cambridge Orphans, 4-0, in Lyman Bostock League action at Abbey Stadium. The player of the game was Williamsport pitcher and Cartagena, Colombia native Francisco Valenzuela. Even with the win, the Crosscutters have a dismal 16-34 record.
Valenzuela scattered 7 hits over 8.1 innings for the Crosscutters. With the win, Valenzuela goes to 5-9 on the year with 97 strikeouts.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Williamsport skipper Michael Ashe.
