| Vikings Roll Hornets, 4-0 | The Victoria Vikings downed the Bethesda Hornets, 4-0, at Hornets Field. The Vikings were led by Johnny Sachs, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. David Pensabene got the win, improving to 3-3. He worked 5 innings, giving up no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 3 and walking 7. The Vikings bumped their record to 32-19 with this latest triumph.
With Victoria leading 1-0 in the top of the third, Sachs hit a fastball from Sergio Castanon for a solo home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Vikings ahead, 2-0.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Victoria manager Bernardo Moreno. "Our pregame was pretty good."
