Winfield Warriors starter Marco Reyes turned in a sterling performance against the Bel Air Princes, leading his team to a slim 2-1 win. Brian Claphan locked down his 13th save. The Warriors sit in 4th place in the Lyman Bostock League Earl Weaver Division with a record of 23-25.

A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 3rd and two out in the top of the sixth inning. That's when catcher Chris Sholly, who is tied for 6th in the LBL in home runs with 9, drew a walk. The Warriors went on to win.

"I felt we were ready to go," said Winfield manager Johnny Vallance. "Our pregame was pretty good."
