| Jedi Knights Scratch and Claw to 5-3 Win | The Jedi Knights had to overcome a fine effort from Tree City pitcher Steve Politano to grab a narrow 5-3 win at The Nut House. Politano went 7 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Matthew Varga locked down his 9th save. The Jedi Knights bumped their record to 26-22 with this latest triumph.
The Jedi Knights got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Vince Jarvis. For the game, Jarvis went 1-1 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the ninth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave New Orleans a 5-3 lead.
"I'm proud of the way our guys played today to come out with this win," Jarvis told the New Orleans Citizen.
