| Medina Powers Saints to 10-4 Win | St. Paul center fielder Mike Medina was a significant contributor in his team's 10-4 triumph over the St. Petersburg Pelicans. He was 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 5 for St. Paul. The save was Robert Simeone's, his 1st. Even with the win, the Saints have a dismal 13-33 record.
Medina contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for St. Paul in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 1-0, Medina took a changeup from Manny Lima and stroked the home run to left-center. His 4th home run of the season allowed the Saints to leap in front, 4-1.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Medina told reporters after the game.
