Black Squirrels Beat Warriors in 10

Tree City designated hitter Alexis Melgoza was a significant contributor in his team's 6-3 triumph over the Winfield Warriors. He was 2 for 4 with a triple, a double, and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for Tree City. The Black Squirrels bumped their record to 25-25 with this latest triumph.

Melgoza had a game-changing triple in the top of the tenth. On a 1-1 slider from Pete Golding, he banged a bases-clearing triple to right-center, giving the Black Squirrels a 6-3 lead. It was the 1st triple of the year for Melgoza.

"It was terrific getting this win," Melgoza said. "We put in a lot of work to do it."
